Ecoprint Workshop:
Imprint your own silk scarf
In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to the technique of botanical printing—ecoprinting—on silk, so you can transfer the pigments and shapes of various plants with incredible, sharp, and long-lasting results.
You’ll learn the basic principles and the entire process from scratch, step by step, in a simple, practical way—without the need for professional equipment.
You’ll discover how to achieve different shades of color from the same plant using simple methods. We’ll discuss the visual composition of a design and the colours you can obtain from different dye-producing plant species.
What will you do?
You’ll print your own design onto a natural silk scarf using seasonal dye-producing plants and pigments of your choice. Flor, your teacher, will guide you through every step so you can create a piece you’ll love.
What does the cost include?
65€/person with all materials included:
- A natural silk scarf designed and printed by you.
- A step-by-step instruction guide covering the entire process so you can continue creating beautiful pieces at home, plus a list of dye plants.
- Extra tips and advice for working with silk.
- A drink and snack :)
