Who is this Programme for?

 

The Art Club for Mums with Newborns is an emotional support programme. In this group, mothers are invited to bring their children and relax through creative approaches to promote, protect and enhance mental health and well-being.

Each mother will work on projects that she chooses in a variety of art materials like clay, textiles, creative journalling and more.

​

The sessions are suitable for women with babies. You can attend after your baby's birth anytime afterwards (as soon as you are ready to leave the house). Babes in arms are very welcome to come along - of course. As are other children - but please bring toys, etc. to keep them happy (the activities are not themselves for children).

What to expect

A weekly support group where mothers can connect and share their experiences without judgement and with absolute freedom and respect. It is an open space to explore experiences, feelings, doubts, fears or joys about motherhood and your new babies - all while making art together!

​

You will be able to choose and experiment with a variety of art materials such as ceramics, textiles, painting and creative collage or journaling. We will connect our motherhoods and leave room for creativity. No art experience is necessary.

 

All materials are provided and the sessions are informal and projects are fluid, from week to week.

Who I am

 

This programme has been designed by and will be led by Evelyn, an Art Therapist registered with Ate (Asociación Profesional Española de Arteterapeutas), BAAT (British Association of Art Therapists) and EFAT (European Federation of Art Therapy) with more than 8 años of experience working in mental health.

Groups run for 90 minutes every Wednesday from 10:30am - 12:00pm. 

​

**Due to the intimate nature of this group, we do not allow drop-ins. This is a closed group where you and your baby can feel safe and comfortable.

 

 

Cost

6 hours month = 55€

​

This includes all materials, tea/coffee and biscuits.
