Ceramics Classes
Description & Details
Who is this course for?
Anyone interested in clay. These courses are designed to introduce beginners to the most commonly used handbuilding techniques and to offer those with more experience chances to develop and refine them.
During the first few sessions, you will be guided through a series of exercises. You will practice different techniques like pinching, coiling, slab building, using moulds, and mixed techniques. There will be no throwing introductions on this course. If you are interested in throwing, try our Introduction to Throwing Course.
There will also be an introduction to glazes and surface decoration (engobes, glazes, and textures). We will work towards you being able to work on your own projects and ask specific questions related to your development and ideas.
