A great way to gain a basic understanding of hand-building, glazing and decoration techniques. Explore your creative ideas whilst learning the exciting possibilities of working with clay. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will guide you through a series of exercises that will teach you different hand building techniques such as slab building and coiling.

All levels of experience are welcome.
​This course is for people who already have basic knowledge of the different techniques of handbuilding or throwing and now want to advance their knowledge.
We will build on foundational skills while introducing more complex techniques and concepts in areas such as advanced hand-building techniques, surface decoration, functional pottery with a twist and conceptual ceramics.

Designed for children between 8 - 12 years of age, creativity and self-expression are encouraged through learning and inspiration from artistic eras from different places and time periods.
